(Peregrinus, Peregrino) [1260-1345], was a very worldly youth, who struck St. Philip Benizi across the face during a popular revolt. Philip turned the other cheek and Peregrine repented and joined the Servite Order after a vision of the Blessed Virgin. He was devoted to the Virgin Mary. As the result of a vision, he was instantly cured of a cancer. He is the Patron of those suffering with cancer or running sores. His feast is May 4.
